Research Interests: Dr. Kondrashov is involved in several areas of research. His main interest is in evolution, taxonomy, and functional morphology of Paleogene mammals of Asia and North America. Another collaborative project with the Russian Academy of Sciences concerns the stratigraphy of Pleistocene deposits of the Russian Plain and taxonomy of Pleistocene terrestrial and freshwater mollusks. Dr. Kondrashov is also interested in diversity and conservation of gastropod and bivalve mollusks of the Midwestern United States.
