Research Interests: Dr. Cox's research is directed at understanding the biochemistry of cancer invasion in the body. He is studying the molecular biology of inhibitors of proteases, proteins important in controlling the spread of cancer cells from a tumor. The structure and genetics of these inhibitor proteins are being examined in cancer cells so that their potential as natural anticancer agents can be determined.
